Saturday, June 4 — Parkview Field — First Pitch 7:05 p.m. — Game 56

LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps had their 3-game winning streak snapped with a 4-0 loss to the Dayton Dragons in their series opener.

ROSTER MOVE: The Padres have transferred TinCaps C Kyle Overstreet to Extended Spring Training. In turn, San Diego has sent C A.J. Kennedy to Fort Wayne from Double-A San Antonio. See Page 5 for more on Kennedy, who was with the team earlier this year.

PACKED PARKVIEW FIELD: The TinCaps have drawn 24,676 fans through the first 4 games of this homestand. Fort Wayne is averaging 5,482 fans over 24 openings at Parkview Field this year. Of the 120 Minor League teams currently in action (40 more start their seasons later in June), the TinCaps currently rank 21st in average attendance. Fort Wayne has outdrawn 14 of 30 Triple-A clubs and 27 of 30 Double-A teams. Dayton is the only Single-A franchise ahead of FW.

ALUMNI REPORT: 2014 TinCaps SS Trea Turner was called up to the Washington Nationals on Friday from Triple-A Syracuse. Turner, who slashed .369 / .447 / .529 over 46 second-half games with Fort Wayne, went 3-for-3 with a double against the Reds. Turner appeared in 27 games for the Nats late last season. The Padres drafted him 13th overall in 2014 and then traded him last year as part of a deal that brought Wil Myers to San Diego.

BRINGING PEÑA TO OPPONENTS: Jhonatan Peña continued his recent hot streak with a 3-for-4 performance Thursday that included a ninth-inning double to set up the comeback win. Since May 21, the 22-year-old has raised his batting average 71 points. Over the last 9 games, Peña is 15-for-35 (.429) with 1 HR, 3 2B, and 11 RBI. He’s tied with South Bend’s Ian Rice for the most RBIs in the MWL during this time after having a total of 3 RBI in his first 27 games of the season. Peña has spent most of the year in the bottom third of the order, but batted fifth last night and is slotted sixth this evening.

GETT-ING IT DONE: CF Michael Gettys has been one of the best players in the MWL this year. He leads the league in 4 categories:

· Games(54) — 1st

· Hit By Pitch(9) — 1st

· Outfield Assists (10) — 1st

· Stolen Bases(22) — T-1st
