The University of Saint Francis has named Jason Lipscomb as its new Executive Director of Alumni and Career Outreach. Lipscomb is a Fort Wayne native and graduate of South Side High School. He completed his undergraduate studies and earned a Master of Science in Leadership Technology and Innovation from Purdue University in West Lafayette.
Lipscomb previously worked at Purdue in its advancement department after spending 20 years in the U.S. military, both in active duty and the National Guard. He served two combat tours in Iraq with Fort Wayne’s 1-293rd Infantry and later taught officer candidate school, where he developed a passion for working in higher education.
In his new role, Lipscomb will manage the university’s efforts in reaching out to area businesses to help students and alumni find potential career opportunities. He will also coordinate activities and events to help former students remain connected with the university and fellow alumni. “I’m thrilled to return to Fort Wayne,” said Lipscomb, “and I am looking forward to meeting University of Saint Francis alumni and friends.”
“Jason brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to the University of Saint Francis,” said Dr. Matt Smith, vice president of institutional advancement. “His experience will be an asset in growing relationships with our alumni and community career partners.”
