4th Annual Friends Of The Poor 5k Walk

The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne is sponsoring its 4th annual Friends of the Poor Walk on Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. Join Bishop Kevin Rhoades in a 5k walk that begins at Parkview Field and winds through the streets and neighborhoods of downtown Fort Wayne, going past the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the St. Vincent de Paul Society Thrift Store, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church before finishing back at Parkview Field.

The Friends of the Poor Walk is a national event with over 200 walks taking place in cities throughout the United States. All proceeds from the Fort Wayne walk will help those living in poverty right here in Northeast Indiana with immediate needs such as food, clothing, furniture, transportation, and assistance with rent and utility payments.

Registration begins at 1:00 p.m. To donate or register for the walk, visit https://www.fopwalk.org/event/2493. Further details about the St. Vincent de Paul Society can be found on their website at www.svdpsfw.org.
