This BMV Mobile Branch event will allow the public to have the opportunity to come to the airport to upgrade their government issued identification to the new Real ID. Beginning October 1, 2020, a Real ID-compliant government issued identification card or a valid Passport will be required in order to board commercial aircraft and to enter federal government facilities. A Real ID has a star in the upper right-hand corner of the identification card.

The FWA Real ID event will allow for an easier in an out experience for the general public wishing to skip the lines at the BMV. This includes passengers traveling through FWA and staff at area businesses. Appointments can be scheduled online through the following link to the BMV scheduling website: http://bit.ly/31SnEUj and click on July 24 or 25. Appointments are available from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. Walk-ins will also be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

A number of documents are needed to complete the Real ID process and must be readily available in order to upgrade identification at the FWA BMV Mobile Branch event. These documents include: one proof of identity, one proof of lawful status such as a birth certificate, one proof of social security number, and two proofs of Indiana residency such as a mortgage statement, utility bill, or a credit card bill. If you have changed your name for any reason, or have any other unique situations, additional documentation, such as a certified marriage license or divorce certificate, may be required. A full list of acceptable documents can be found at RealID.IN.gov.

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Mobile Branch Real ID event will take place on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 from 9:00am-3:00pm each day in the FWA Business Center located at Baggage Claim. More information regarding this event can be found on FWA’s social media channels.
