The X Count in partnership with Purdue Fort Wayne Athletics is proud to present Nerves, Anxiety and Performing Under Pressure by Raymond Prior, PhD with special guest, Four-Time US Olympian, Jason Parker. As one of the country’s top peak performance professionals, Prior has nearly a decade of experience educating athletes, parents, and coaches. With his unique experiences, education, and a passion for helping others pursue greatness, Prior takes a refreshing approach to mental training, making it easy to understand and apply at the individual and team levels. His message is relevant to all hoping to experience fulfillment in studies, relationships, sports, career, and life.
Prior’s clients are frequently composed of the top .1% in any given field from athletes and musicians, to hedge fund managers and the performing arts. He works with athletes, parents, teams, and coaches at professional, Olympic, NCAA, amateur, and youth sport levels. His clients include professional athletes, Olympic Gold Medalists, individual and team National Champions, National Coach of the Year Award winners, individual and team Conference Champions, and countless NCAA All-Americans in a variety of sports.
During this presentation Prior and Parker will dissect the role of anxiety on performance and the enjoyment of the journey to greatness. Special tickets are available for a private meet and greet after the presentation.
Prior’s presentation and Parker’s interview are part of a broader training experience for athletes from around the nation. These elite athletes have been invited to train not only with Prior and Parker but also NCAA coaches from across the US. The athletes, coaches, and Parker will be recognized at the Tincaps Game on July 29th.
The X Count is an indoor rifle range in Fort Wayne. It is host to the Junior Olympic State Qualifying Competition, NCAA matches, the Endeavor Games, Junior Nationals, and the ISRPA State Championship. The X Count will host its public grand opening on August 1st at 6pm. Stay tuned for further details and celebrity guests.
