Community Invited To Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

The community is invited to join in unity for an interfaith service of Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. Congregation Achduth Vesholom will host the service.

Participants include clergy from a diverse group of faith organizations:

· Imani Baptist Temple

· Indiana Buddhist Temple

· Islamic Center of Fort Wayne

· Maplewood Mennonite Church

· Peace United Church of Christ

· Plymouth Congregational Church U.C.C.

· Spiritual Assembly of Baha’is of Fort Wayne

· Trinity English Lutheran Church

· Trinity Episcopal Church

· Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne

The speaker will be Rev. Angelo Mante, delivering the message, “An Inside Out Community; Waging Peace in Our Hearts and Neighborhoods.” Mante is a native of Fort Wayne, and graduate of Taylor University and the Emory University Candler School of Theology. He works for the Indiana Conference of the United Methodist Church, developing a new ministry for families affected by violence. Maestro Robert Nance will coordinate music, and refreshments will be offered after the service.
