On June 9th at Homestead High School, the Relay for Life of Fort Wayne will host their annual relay fundraising event from 11AM – 11PM. The event will kick off with the opening ceremonies at 11AM, with the national anthem being sung by Addison Agen. After the opening ceremonies concludes, Addison will be signing autographs and taking pictures with attendees for a donation that will go toward the event’s fundraising goal.

Relay for Life is a signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society that is staffed and coordinated by community volunteers who believe it’s time to take action against cancer. All donations and funds raised from the event help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, critical patient care services, education and prevention initiatives, and so much more. The event will start at 11AM with the opening ceremony and conclude at 11PM with the luminaria ceremony remembering all those who have lost their battle with cancer and honoring those who are still fighting this disease. Throughout the day, attendees can expect a large silent auction, fun games, a bounce house, bingo, Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, and so much more.
