J Taylors Perform At Roanoke Event Ctr For Shepherds House Facility For Homeless Veterans

Singing duo THE J TAYLORS will perform an evening of music ranging from pop to Country and Light Rock Friday, October 20 at the Cottage Event Center on US 24 in Roanoke. The event is a fund raiser for the Shepherd’s House facility for Homeless Veteran’s located in Fort Wayne.

The J Taylorsare married couple Jonathan and Janelle Taylor, who have been performing professionally since 2009. Both are graduates of Huntington University where each studied music. Janelle also performs as a solo artist with a show entitled “Famous Females”, which salutes artists such as Patsy Cline, Judy Garland, Linda Ronstadt, Peggy Lee and more. She also is one half of the duo JANELLE N JONZE, with singer-guitarist Shade Jonze.

The October event will be THE J TAYLORS’ third performance at The Cottage Event Center.

Shepherd’s House is a long term, residential/transitional housing center for alcohol and chemically addicted men, located in Fort Wayne. Their website, shephershouse.org, describes their mission as rebuilding “the lives of those who society views as hopeless into sober and productive assets to the community” and returning Veterans to be self-sufficient, employed, and empowered with a sober vision of hope for the future.

Food will be available for purchase from Walnut Hill Catering and Events, who will be donating a significant percentage of the proceeds to Shepherd’s House.

Tickets are $25 per person for dinner and show inclusive. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the show at 7:30.
