Kingston’s Taste Of Waynedale To Benefit Honor Flight & Waynedale Corridor

Kingston Residence will proudly champion the 9th Annual “Kingston’s Taste of Waynedale” on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Family Life Center, 1819 Reservation Road. The proceeds from this event will go to both Honor Flight Northeast Indiana and the Waynedale Corridor Project.

To date, 27 local restaurants and businesses have committed to participating and will offer samples of a variety of food or drink. Area restaurants who currently plan to participate include Azar’s Big Boy, Bandido’s, Belmont Beverage, Bluebird Restaurant, China Palace, Chocolate Fountain, Culver’s, Curly’s Village Inn, Dairy Queen, Ellison Bakery, GFS, Hall’s Original Drive In, Hill’s Market, Krystals Café (at Post 241), LaFogata, Mad Anthony Brewing Company, Miami Grill, My Grannies Table, Nine Mile Restaurant, Pizza Hut, Rise’n Roll Bakery & Deli, Sharing Peace Café, Shig’s In Pit, The Stand, Tucano’s Brazilian Grill, Waynedale Bakery and Waynewood Inn.

Additional businesses that are providing support to Kingston’s Taste of Waynedale include The Waynedale News and JW Signs. Tickets are $15.00 per person if paid in advance, $20 the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at Kingston Residence, 7515 Winchester Road, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. using check or cash. A large silent auction will be held with gifts and services donated by local businesses. GMI Insurance will be raffling off two new bicycles in honor of the Bluffton Road sidewalks and trails coming in 2017. Tickets for the bikes are $1 per entry and proceeds will go to the Waynedale Trails and Sidewalks Initiative. The final raffle for the bikes will be on April 15 at the Easter Egg Hunt to be held at the Southwest Conservation Club at 10 a.m.

To date we have raised $66,000 for various local charities through this event”, stated Kingston Marketing Director Camille Garrison. It has been our privilege to coordinate the Taste of Waynedale and watch it grow through the years. This year promises to be another amazing success for Waynedale. We are very excited to see a number of new restaurants joining us and we have planned some additional seating opportunities at the event.”
