Mad Ants And McDonald’s Select High School Players Of The Month

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have partnered with McDonald’s to recognize a men’s and woman’s high school player of the month in northeast Indiana for the 2016-17 season. In December, McDonald’s and the Mad Ants selected Karissa McLaughlin of Homestead High School and Anton Berry of Bishop Luers High School.

Men’s basketball player of the month, Anton Berry has been a key contributor for Bishop Luers this season. In the month of December, Berry has made his presence felt, averaging 18 points per game along with 13 rebounds. The senior recorded a double-double in each of his four games this month. He has helped lead the Knights to their current 4-1 record.

Woman’s basketball player of the month, Karissa McLaughlin continues a historic high-school career as she eclipsed the 2,000 point scoring mark in her game against Greenfield Central on December 10th. So far, the senior is averaging 27 points in the month of December. She has lead Homestead to an impressive 10-0 start to their season.

Both players will be recognized at an upcoming Mad Ants home game.
