Stargazing: Your Sky Tonight

Wednesdays, January 18 and February 15, 7 – 7:30 pm, Historic Wells Street Bridge, N. Wells St., FREE Admission

Join us and our friends at Science Central on the third Wednesday of every month for a dreamy walk along the riverbanks and a chance to take a closer look at the stars. Peer through telescopes to see rare celestial sightings and learn what’s happening in the universe. All ages are welcome and it’s free! No reservations required.

Birdwatching on the Trails

Want to learn about birds and plants along our rivers? Join Riverfront Fort Wayne in partnership with Fort Wayne Trails for a naturalist-led winter walk. You will learn to celebrate nature with an emphasis on migratory birds, waterfowl, resident birds, riverine flora and invasive species. This event will be held rain or shine. All ages are welcome and no reservations are required for this free event.

Riverfront Fort Wayne Educational Series: History of Our Rivers

Monday, February 13, 6:30 – 8 pm, Calhoun Street Soup, Salad and Spirits, 1915 S. Calhoun St., FREE Admission

Riverfront Fort Wayne will offer a free educational series this winter to discuss issues and important topics about our rivers. Each talk will feature a panel of experts followed by audience Q&A. No registration required. In February, our panel of local experts will explore different aspects of history along our rivers. Our community was founded at the confluence of three rivers. Learn about the early settlers and founders of our area as well as some of the important events that occurred along the rivers that contributed to making our city the vibrant community it is today.
