Harlan Days Annual Festival

Harlan Days is an annual festival held at the Harlan Community Park, in Harlan Indiana. We are just a short 6 minute drive from I-469 on Fort Wayne Indiana’s Northeast side and we invite you to join us for some good old fashion fair fun. Harlan Days is the primary fund raising activity for the Harlan Community Park Association. All profits benefit the park and its programs. Our fair takes place the first weekend in August every year and is orchestrated by a tireless group of volunteers.

The Sunday Morning Road Show 8/4
Thursday from 7:00-10:00pm Sit back and enjoy upbeat and uplifting music from the talented musicians of 4 local ministries. Assembled for the first time ever these local artists will be rocking it out under the outdoor stage. Bring your friends and family and celebrate our ‘Festival of Fellowship’ at the 69th Annual Harlan Days Festival! Carmichael 8/5 – Friday between 7:00-10:00pm Carmichael is a four piece band, formed from the common clay of Indiana. Carmichael’s songs are a blend of, primarily, American music with a strong focus on lyrics and artistic intent. Weaving together a blend of genres, Carmichael blurs the line between the songs of yesteryear and the pulse of the present-day to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Adam Strack Duo with Scott Schwan Saturday from 7:00-10:00pm Adam Strack is a full-time guitarist and singer in Fort Wayne, IN since 2008. He plays cover music in a solo, duo, or full band setting performing a variety of styles including classic rock, alternative rock, reggae, country, bluegrass, etc. He comes from a family of musicians that played as a family band for a decade in the 90’s. Adam has been performing in front of live audiences for over 25 years now and has played at most of the venues here in the Fort including: The Embassy, Three Rivers Festival, Parkview Stadium, The Phoenix, Columbia Street West, Country Heritage Winery and much more. Tough Truck Competition 8/4
Thursday night at 7 pm Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. Local drivers are encouraged to sign up to participate. Drivers will race thru timed arena obstacle course, which may include jumps, bumps, moguls, mud slicks, and the kitchen sink. Mud Bog Drags 8/5 -Friday night at 7 pm Drivers will compete in a head to head bracketed competition, drag racing across dual arena mud bogs approximately 3 ft. deep and 200 ft. long. Winners from each night’s event will also walk away with a Hogg trophy and bragging rights. Both events will be at the Harlan Days outdoor arena, located in the Northeast corner of the park.

Harlan Hustle 5K Fun Run 8/6
Saturday 7:00 AM Sign up now to participate in the 4th annual Harlan Hustle 5k Fun Run. Strollers are welcome but dogs and bikes are not allowed. Registration opens on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 7:00 a.m., with the run starting at 7:30. — (Continued on next page)
The start/finish line will be at the Harlan Park. Entry fee is just $20. T-shirts available to those registered prior to July 15th. There will be a pancake breakfast available from 6:30 – 10:30 followed by the parade. Winners will be escorted in the parade. Contact joyfulgeiger@gmail.com with any questions.

2016 Harlan Day’s Grand Parade 8/6
Saturday @ 10:00AM Register your band, marching unit, antique car, business or commercial enterprise, float, color guard or cheer unit, animal, family or group, child, antique tractor or other parade worthy attraction in the 2016 Harlan Day’s Grand Parade. Just download one of the forms below, fill it out and either mail or email it back to us to register. But don’t dilly-dally; entry deadline is Wednesday, August 3rd.
