Allen County SPCA Hosts Free Vaccine And ID Clinic

Allen County SPCA will host a free vaccine clinic for canines and felines on Saturday November 7, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the shelter located at 4914 South Hanna Street at the corner of Hanna Street and Pettit Avenue.

"As a part of our new Pet Promises program, we are offering free vaccines and other services to pet owners who reside in the neighborhood and/or who utilize our weekly pet food bank," said Jessica Henry, Executive Director. "We know that many of our neighborhood dogs and cats have rarely, if ever, seen a veterinarian, and this clinic will help stave-off the spread of deadly disease," Henry continued.

The vaccine clinic is funded by a generous grant from PetSmart Charities and is aimed at pets living in underserved communities. Attendees’ pets will have the opportunity to receive annual vaccines, including rabies vaccinations, as well as free microchips, and flea and tick prevention.

"All of the services are being provided at no cost so that these much-loved animals can be and stay healthy."
