WHAT: The oldest brick sewer in the City is 150 years old, as is the Bricklayers Union of America. Join us to celebrate the high-quality craftsmanship that has kept these sewers in use today. WHO: Retired and current workers from the Bricklayers profession, Ted Champ, President of the regional International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Kumar Menon, Director of City Utilities, Mike Avila, bricklayer and member of the Board of Public Works, and engineering experts on Fort Wayne’s sewer system.
