Jeffries Selected to Lead USF Criminal Justice Program

The University of Saint Francis appoints Heather Jeffries as director of newly launched Criminal Justice and Criminology program.
June 8, 2015 FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Saint Francis has selected Heather Jeffries to become the director of its Criminal Justice and Criminology program, which is enrolling now for the 2015 fall semester.

Jeffries brings many years of experience in both higher education and criminal justice. She has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Saint Francis since 2009, teaching criminology courses. She previously served as the chair of ITT Technical Institute’s School of Criminal Justice. Jeffries also has worked within the Allen County court system and in the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.

“We are delighted to continue to work with Heather as we grow this important program,” said Dr. Lance Richey, dean of the University of Saint Francis School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. “She brings a remarkable amount of experience with the university and also in our local criminal justice system.”

“I thoroughly enjoy teaching criminology classes, and the USF students are amazing,” Jeffries said. “I believe the new Criminal Justice and Criminology program will be a wonderful enhancement to the programs offered by the university."
