Retirement Send-off Planned For Dr. Robinson

Friends, co-workers, former students and others are invited to wish Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson well in a Farewell Parade from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 30 at Northrop High School.

Dr. Robinson retires after 47 years with the District on June 30. She started as a teacher at Ward Elementary School in 1973, and rose through the administrative ranks from assistant principal to principal to District administrator and eventually, in 2003, Superintendent. Her 17 years leading FWCS makes her the fifth-longest serving superintendent in the District’s history. She was also the first FWCS graduate to become superintendent of Fort Wayne Community Schools.

Attendees are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and make thank you signs. A box will be available for those wanting to drop off cards to Dr. Robinson.
