Allen County SPCA Seeks to Meet $25,000 Match for #GivingTuesdayNow

The Allen County SPCA hopes to meet their #GivingTuesdayNow goal of raising $50,000, thanks to two anonymous gifts that will provide a dollar-for-dollar match on all donations, up to $25,000.

“Normally Giving Tuesday happens in the fall, just before the Holiday Season gets underway, but because of the financial strain placed on nonprofits right now, organizations like ours are trying hard to stay afloat financially so that our missions can continue without interruption,” says Jessica Henry, Executive Director of the Allen County SPCA.

To put the impact of this opportunity in perspective, if the Allen County SPCA is able to meet its $25,000 goal, the funds, when matched, will make up for the revenue we lost while we were closed to the public for adoptions and were, instead, caring for the pets of those directly impacted either medically or financially by COVID-19 – at no charge to those pet owners.

#GivingTuesdayNow takes place on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. All donations made that day (between the hours of 12:00AM and 11:59PM) will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.

To donate online, visit www.allencountyspca.org or make your donation by phone by calling 260-744-0454.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give. GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity and equity around the globe.
