Fire & Light Productions is proud to announce it is now a public charity with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions donated to Fire & Light Productions are fully tax-deductible. Fire & Light is now eligible to apply for government and foundation grants, which will further broaden its access to resources and strengthen its ability to serve the families of Fort Wayne.

“Obtaining this status is a major milestone for Fire & Light Productions,” remarks Lisa Ellis, founder and Executive Director of the organization. “This opens doors for us to expand fundraising activities and further our mission to create God-honoring theatre experiences that engage, educate and inspire young people and our community.

Fire & Light Productions began in the fall of 2010. The group has grown to become Fire & Light Academy, a troupe of more than 100 youth, ages 8-18, who perform five shows during their regular season, August thru May. Fire & Light Academy offers training in all aspects of theater arts: set design, painting, construction, sound and light facilitation, music and stage movement, and direction and leadership skills. Fire & Light Productions also offers a popular Summer Musical Intensive that is open to youth in the community as well.
