Bishop Luers High School is dedicated to sharing relevant and topical information through educated, respected, and entertaining speakers from within our community. The Department of Mission Advancement is pleased to announce the first event in our new four-part “Luers Lectures” series.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 6:30 pm in the Bishop Luers High School Media Center, MaryClare Akers, Executive Director of the Allen County Drug and Alcohol Consortium, will be presenting a lecture titled “Opioid Use Disorder”. Ms. Akers will discuss statistics, trends, and the impact the opioid crisis presents for individuals, families, and the community. She will also talk about what is being done across sectors and disciplines to change outcomes for youth and families.
