Ride To Work With Ride Safe Indiana

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and Ride Safe Indiana (RSI) invite all Hoosiers with a valid motorcycle endorsement to participate in the 28th Annual Ride to Work Day on Monday, June 17, 2019.

Ride to Work Day is an international event created to highlight the number of active riders throughout communities. This ride demonstrates that riders represent all occupations and walks of life. Most importantly, Ride to Work Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about motorcycle safety while reminding motorists and riders to share the road.

RSI encourages all riders to help keep Indiana roads safe through proper ride preparation and alert riding. “Wearing high visibility clothing, proper protective gear, and practicing safe riding habits all contribute to a safer ride,” explained BMV Director of Central Operations Brittainy Hubble. “Beyond protective gear both motorcyclists and motorists need to be aware of their surroundings. If you are planning to ride in group for Ride to Work Day, remember to establish a route and riding strategy prior to hitting the road.”

RSI is Indiana’s authorized motorcycle safety program. Our mission is to reduce the number of motorcycle accidents and fatalities on Indiana roads by training motorcycle riders and increasing motorcycle awareness among motorists.
