Veteran Navy SEAL, Author Jeff Eggers To Speak Wednesday

Navy SEAL veteran and author Jeff Eggers, the man credited with the mediation and resolution of the 2014 Afghan presidential crisis, will speak in Fort Wayne on Wednesday at the Northeast Indiana Base Community Council (NIBCC) Speaker Series Luncheon.

“Mr. Eggers has a wealth of knowledge and experience from his years of service to our country,” Patrick Dooley, NIBCC president, said. “His unique perspective on translating military experience to the civilian workforce demonstrates the value of our military professionals and veterans as a top talent pool available to our business community.”

Eggers is a senior policy advisor, security professional and leadership consultant, sharing his hard-earned wisdom with leaders in the public and private sectors. He is a passionate advocate for new models of leadership and policy performance.

His high-stakes experience in strategic leadership, change management and adaptability is rooted in his military and government experience—a 20-year career as a US Navy SEAL, followed by years as an advisor at the highest levels of government, including serving as the President’s Special Assistant for National Security Affairs.

During the program, representatives from the 122nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard and the 293rd Infantry Regiment of the Indiana Army National Guard will provide updates on each units activities. Leaders, Myth and Reality, the book co-authored by Jeff Eggers, General Stanley McChrystal and Jason Mangone, will be sold and autographed at the luncheon.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, February 13 at the Parkview Mirro Center. Eggers will be available for media interviews prior to the luncheon from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

Tickets are $20 for the military community and NIBCC members, and $25 for the general public. Limited seats remain available. A limited number of Corporate Gold Table seating of 8 is available at $500 per table. Visit www.nibcc.org/events for more information or to register.
