Jeff Ellis & Associates awarded the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department the 2018 Platinum International Aquatics Safety Award to the Lifeguard Staff for consistently and exceeding the criteria for aquatic safety.

Founded in 1983, Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc. (E&A) is an International Aquatic Safety and Risk Management Consulting firm dedicated to the prevention and elimination of drowning. This honor is given annually to aquatic facilities and organizations that score in the top 16% of the E & A audit criteria. The firm congratulated the Fort Wayne aquatic safety staff for their commitment to “professional excellence” as well as their desire to “make a difference” for citizens of Fort Wayne.

“Safety is always our top priority when it comes to providing pool facilities,” said Parks and Recreation Director Steve McDaniel. “Of course, we want everyone to have a great time when swimming in one of our area pools, but we take great pride in our staff’s dedication to keeping everyone safe while they have fun.”
