Rescue Mission Capital Campaign Donation

Covenant United Methodist Church (10001 Coldwater Road, Fort Wayne, IN) held a “Christmas in July” fundraiser for The Rescue Mission’s City on a Hill capital campaign and raised $10,000.

“We’re overjoyed at the donation from Covenant United Methodist,” said Rescue Mission Senior Vice President Laurie Brumbaugh. “It’s exciting to see another area church partner with us as we work to change the lives of men, women, and children in the Fort Wayne area facing a homeless crisis.”

The Rescue Mission (301 W. Superior, Fort Wayne, IN) is in desperate need of a bigger facility, and the $23.1 million capital campaign includes a four-story building on the corner of Lafayette and Washington, as well as a Charis House expansion at 431 Fairmount Place.

Covenant United Methodist Church presented their $10,000 check to The Rescue Mission after some other members of their congregation served dinner to the community.
