NAACP Branch 3049 of Fort Wayne and Allen County will host its 73rd Annual Marjorie D. Wickliffe Freedom Fund Banquetin Fort Wayne. The event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Purdue Fort Wayne International Ballroom (Walb Student Union Building), 2101 W. Coliseum Blvd.
Carrying the theme “Stand UP Stand Out,” this year’s banquet salutes the anchors of the community: those Minority Businesses that have been in business for 20 plus years.
The NAACP invites you to come out and show your support for those local businesses by purchasing a full table for $600.00 or single tickets for $75.00 each.
The public is also invited to be a vendor for $40.00 (includes 1 table/2 chairs); or be a Patron/supporter, and have your name listed in the booklet for a donation of $5.00 per name.
The annual Marjorie D. Wickliffe Freedom Fund Banquet serves as a fundraiser for the Fort Wayne Allen County NAACP and aims to raise local awareness about ongoing civil rights issues. The evening will include an awards ceremony and brief remarks by award recipients, summarizing their work in the community. The awards will recognize achievements in multiple areas of the Minority Business community, giving special recognition to businesses with 20 plus years in the community.
