Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest Hosting A Second Fundraiser At Hop River Brewing On August 16

Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest will hold a second fundraiser at Hop River Brewing (1515 N. Harrison St.) on August 16, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ten percent of the proceeds from vegan food and two beers (to be announced) will be donated to the non-profit festival, which will hold its inaugural event at Headwaters Park on October 6, 2018.

Hop River, which recently won two gold medals at the Indiana Brewers’ Cup competition, is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans, as its menu features a large selection of vegan options. Current selections as of this press release include sriracha nuts, muhamarra dip, vegan sloppy joe (always a crowd pleaser, even among carnivores) and the vegetable muffaletta. Chef Zach has also been known to surprise everybody with a special vegan creation for that night alone, but the only way to find out is to attend.

The Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest committee will be on hand to answer questions about the festival and have shirts, stickers and buttons for sale. Attendees can also register to win two VIP passes to the festival, which will allow access to all of the food, brews and vendors one hour before the general public. A gift basket filled with vegan goodies will also be raffled off.

All members of the family are welcome to attend the fundraiser, as Hop River is a kid-friendly brewery and dogs are allowed on the patio.

The Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest, a free event open to all ages, will take place at Headwaters Park on October 6, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a special VIP hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The one-day event will feature speakers, cooking demonstrations, local restaurant tastings, vendors, fitness events, children’s activities, live music from local musicians, and a beer garden with creations from local breweries.
