The New Haven Community Foundation Board has distributed its spring grant cycle funding to eight organizations including Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana, New Haven-Adams Township Parks and Recreation (two programs), Allen County Education Partnership, Southeast Youth Council (Cornerstone), Learn Resource Center, The Literacy Alliance, and The Lighthouse: A Biblical Recovery Center. In total, $4,000.00 was given this grant cycle.

The mission of the New Haven Community Foundation, (in its fourth year,) is: “Enhancing life and investing in our future.”

Grant applications are considered if they meet their mission to improve the quality of life in New Haven, Indiana through charitable perpetuation of youth programs, art and cultural enrichment, community improvement, parks, recreation and education related to these purposes in the community. The Grant Review Committee reviewed each application submitted and proposed award amounts to the Board which then voted upon the matter.

Board Chair, Sam Graves, states, “There are some great organizations working on improving the lives of New Haven residents and we are excited to be able to support some of their efforts through this grant cycle.”
