Hop River Brewing Fundraiser On June 21 For The Inaugural Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest

Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest will hold a fundraiser at Hop River Brewing (1515 N. Harrison St.) on June 21, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ten percent of the proceeds from vegan food and two beers (to be announced) will be donated to the non-profit festival, which will hold its inaugural event at Headwaters Park on October 6, 2018.

Hop River, Fort Wayne’s newest brewery, is a hot spot for vegetarians and vegans, as its menu features a large selection of vegan options. Current selections as of this press release include muhamarra dip, vegan sloppy nachos, vegan sloppy joes, Philly Cheese “fake,” and collard greens and roasted sweet potatoes.

The Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest committee will be on hand to answer questions about the festival and have shirts, stickers and buttons for sale. Attendees can also register to win two VIP passes to the festival, which will allow access to all of the food, brews and vendors one hour before the general public. A gift basket filled with vegan goodies will also be raffled off.

The Fort Wayne Veg’n Brew Fest, which will be free and open to all ages, will take place at Headwaters Park on October 6, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a special VIP hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The one-day event will feature speakers, cooking demonstrations, local restaurant tastings, vendors, fitness events, children’s activities, live music from local musicians, and a beer garden with creations from local breweries.
