Three Rivers Distilling Company announced today the appointment of Marla Schneider as the new president of the company. In this role, she will oversee all aspects of the business from production to retail operations. Schneider has been involved with Three Rivers Distilling Co. since the start-up stage of the business. She joined the company full-time in August 2017 to help with the growth and retail expansion.

Schneider’s appointment as president is trailblazing in a male-dominated industry. She joins a very small group of women leading distilleries across the nation. “It is an honor to be selected to lead Northeast Indiana’s first craft distillery since prohibition,” Schneider stated. “I am looking forward to bringing my perspective to this booming industry while guiding a team that has already proven themselves with quality results.”

Schneider has several years of executive experience in economic development. She joined the Fort Wayne – Allen County Economic Development Alliance in 2006 and as Senior Vice President, she directed the areas of strategic marketing, communications, technology, and operations. During this time, Schneider played an integral part in the formation of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. (GFW), leading many of the efforts to launch the new organization. She served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications at GFW from 2013-2015.

She was most recently Business Development Manager for Fort Wayne Metals where she facilitated the growth of related entities through business creation, acquisition, and expansion.

Schneider also serves as Secretary of the Indiana Distillers Guild, assisting to promote the craft distilling industry to consumers and legislators in the state.

Schneider, a Fort Wayne native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY in 2001.
