“Gift Wrapping For A Reason” To Support Homeless

Starting tomorrow, through Christmas Eve, The Rescue Mission will provide gift wrapping services at Glenbrook Square, across from Barnes & Noble. Glenbrook shoppers are invited to enjoy free gift wrapping, curbside loading, and drop-off service. A seating lounge with hot beverages will be available for those getting their gifts wrapped.

While the service is free, donations are encouraged. All proceeds will help support The Rescue Mission’s programs for homeless men, women, and children in the Fort Wayne area.

“We’re excited to once again provide a service like this to the community, a community that is so supportive of The Rescue Mission,” said Laurie Brumbaugh, Vice President of Development. “People can come in, relax, let us do the wrapping, and enjoy a hot drink and a couch for awhile. Then, if they feel led, they can make a donation to help the men, women, and children served at The Rescue Mission.”

Hours are as follows:

December 8-23

Mon-Sat 1-7PM

Sun 1-5PM

December 24

11AM-3PM

Gift Wrapping for a Reason requires the help of many volunteers for wrapping, greeting, package and tag preparation, and more. There are still volunteer shifts available. For more information on volunteering, please send an email to niki.
