Last Weekend Of Festival Of Gingerbread

Join the History Center for the last week of the 2017 Festival of Gingerbread. The public has until December 10th to view the 102 gingerbread creations.

This week is the last chance to bid on the Festival of Gingerbread’s fantastic silent auction items. The silent auction is set up in the History Center’s board room, and serves as a fundraiser for the History Center. There are also special final week deals on items in the gift shop, which could be perfect holiday gifts for the history lover in every family, as well as special deals on gingerbread cookies December 10th.

Saturday, December 9 8:30 am

Saturday, December 9 1-4 pm

“Science of Sugary Structures”

Presented by Science Central. Create your own sturdy (or not so sturdy) edible structure. $3 plus regular museum admission.

Sunday, December 10 1-4 pm

Cookie Decorating Party

Decorate gingerbread cookies! $1 each, plus regular museum admission

Now in its 32nd year, the Festival, which raises money to support programs at the History Center, has become a holiday tradition that boasts an attendance of more than 12,000, who come annually to see the fanciful gingerbread creations on display. Hanning and Bean Enterprises, Inc. is this year’s title sponsor.

The Festival of Gingerbread opens with special extended hours on November 24 and closes December 10.

Admission is $6 adults, $4 seniors and youth, and free to children age 2 and under.
