Trinity Episcopal’s Concert And Celebration Of Peterson’s 30 Years Of Service

On June 23, 2017, at 7pm, Trinity Episcopal Church Fort Wayne will celebrate a milestone. 2017 marks Music Director Wayne Peterson’s 30 years of service to Trinity. We welcome Dr. Marilyn Keiser, Chancellor’s Professor Emerita of Music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, who will grace us with her talents with an organ concert on Trinity’s recently refurbished pipe organ. Dr. Keiser was a mentor to Wayne, and we are thrilled to welcome her and host her musical tribute to Wayne. This is not a concert to be missed!

Wayne Peterson has not only been a music director and organist for Trinity these 30 years, but he has also developed and directed a music program for children, called Musical Arts for Youth at Trinity (MAY@T), which serves young people from the parish, Wellspring Interfaith Social Services, and home-schooled youth.

New for this year is the Notre Dame Children’s Choir Fort Wayne (NDCCFW), an emerging affiliate of the University of Notre Dame’s Children’s Choir, an ecumenical ensemble for Christian sacred music open to singers from ages 6-17. This unique opportunity to bring the choir to Fort Wayne, hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church, was spearheaded by Wayne and continues under his direction.
