Byron Health Center To Host Corvettes, Bikes & S’mores

Byron Health Center will host a fun evening for all on Wednesday, June 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. during Corvettes, Bikes & S’mores. Members of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club (FWCC) will bring their highly coveted ‘Vettes’ while the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRAA): Chapter U of Angola and the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA): Biblical Bikers # 1245 of Auburn will bring their desirable “Wings” & ‘Hogs’ to the Byron Health Center campus at 12101 Lima Rd in Fort Wayne. Both staff and residents from Byron Health Center will spend the early evening enjoying the many styles, varieties and ages of Chevrolet Corvettes along with Hondas, Harley Davidsons and various other motorcycles that will gather in the Byron Health Center parking lot at the northwest corner of Carroll Rd and Lima Rd along State Hwy 3. The public is also welcome to come out and enjoy the American iconic automobiles and motorcycles throughout the evening and vote for their favorite ‘rides’. Admission is free.

This will be the fifth time in as many years that the FWCC has gathered at Byron Health Center. “We are delighted that the FWCC has chosen Byron Health Center to show off their beautiful cars,” said Nichole Miller, Byron Health Center Director of Life Enrichment, “Our residents and staff are really looking forward to seeing all of the Corvettes up close and personal!” For the third year in a row, the GWRRA: Chapter U of Angola and the CMA: Biblical Bikers # 1245 of Auburn will be joining the FWCC in filling the Byron Health Center parking lot with many styles and versions of motorcycles. The event is open to the community, admission is free and all are invited to participate and enjoy.

Prior to the event, Byron Health Center residents will enjoy an outdoor picnic with friends, family and members of the FWCC, GWRAA: Chapter U of Angola and the CMA: Biblical Bikers # 1245 of Auburn. The meal is by invitation only.

The FWCC was founded in 1970 to provide Corvette owners and enthusiasts in Northeastern Indiana the opportunities to spend time with a great group of people with similar interest. The FWCC helps to support local charities such as the Wounded Warrior, Local police forces, Veterans and various other community outreach programs. The GWRRA is the world’s largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing/Valkyrie motorcycles — and some would say, the world’s largest family. Dedicated to the motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a not-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. CMA is a non-profit, interdenominational organization, dedicated to reaching people for Christ in the highways and byways through motorcycling. Since its beginning in the mid-‘70s, CMA has had over 160,000 applicants for membership and over 1,200 chapters chartered in the United States.
