Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate Music in Our Schools Month with a daylong free concert event Saturday, March 25, at Northrop High School, 7001 Coldwater Road.
Musicians from 11 schools will perform from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., highlighting the musical talents in the FWCS middle and high schools.
“Fort Wayne Community Schools has never wavered in its support of music and fine arts education, and these students show that providing access to the arts gives them a meaningful way to express their interests,” said Bruce Schneider, Program Manager of “b” Instrumental, an FWCS program that provides seventh-grade students musical instruments that they can use until they graduate. “We are excited to offer the community an opportunity to hear high-level performances for free in what we hope will become an annual tradition.”
