The University of Saint Francis TRIO Student Services Department is hosting actress Cynda Williams’ book reading from her newly published book. The reading will take place on Friday, December 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the USF Business Center café, 826 Ewing Street.
Williams made her feature film debut in Spike Lee’s “Mo’ Better Blues” in 1990 and has subsequently forged a steady career as a supporting and lead actress in over 25 films.
Williams’ reading is the first in a series of lectures being presented by USF’s TRIO department. The purpose of the series is to provoke discussion and perspective about a range of topics and subjects that include information about various life experiences from a global perspective. This is Cynda Williams’ only Indiana stop on her current book tour.
The book is an intimate anthology from the creative mind of a Hollywood actor/singer detailing the struggles, insights and triumphs of her life and career, including perspectives from her inner circle of friends.
Before the reading, there will be an hour of networking at 5:30 p.m. The University of Saint Francis Campus Shoppe will also be on hand with copies of Williams’ book available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public.
