Mad Ants Host Ant Invasion Open House

To tip off their 10-year anniversary season, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, will be hosting an Ant Invasion open house on September 28th at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The open house will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. where the Coliseum will be set up as if it were a game day so fans can get a feel for what is in store this season.

At the open house fans will have the ability to learn about new premium seats and season ticket packages. Fans will have the ability to choose their seats while being in the Coliseum, which will allow them to make sure they get the best view of the court from their perspective. The new premium seat packages now include the Larry Bird Section, the Paul George Section, and the Boomer and Mad Ant sections.

“It is important to show the Fort Wayne community what we have in store and the Ant Invasion is our opportunity to showcase that,” President Tim Bawmann said. “We want to tell our franchises story with our 10 year anniversary and share the direction our organization is headed.”

The NBA D-League President Malcom Turner and Vice President Tommy Smith will also be in attendance to help educate about the D-League and the future of where our program is headed.

Prior to the open house, the Mad Ants will be hosting different focus groups to engage with the local community leaders. The focus groups include a CEO breakfast hosted by Bawmann and Turner, an activities director breakfast, a luncheon for non-profits leaders, a luncheon for HR leaders, a happy hour for school leaders, and a youth basketball coaches clinic led by Jaren Jackson, former Mad Ants head coach and NBA Champion.

These functions are designed to educate the greater Fort Wayne market on the team’s history/direction and to and brainstorm ideas to get residents and employees together for a fun outing at a Mad Ants Basketball game. Showing that the Mad Ants provide more than just a basketball game, they provide affordable family entertainment.

For more information on attending any of the focus groups, please contact a Mad Ants representative at (260) 469-HOOP.
