USF Debuts Outdoor Sculpture Gallery

The University of Saint Francis has installed a new outdoor sculpture garden to debut during the 2016 Presidential Gala, which opens on September 10 with a reception at 6 p.m. The Sculpture Garden is located at the School of Creative Arts on the USF Main Campus, 2701 Spring Street.

The gallery will feature rotating sculpture collections. The first installment in the USF Sculpture Garden will run from September through April, featuring 13 artists from across the country and overseas.

Nicole Croy – Fort Wayne, Ind.

Dale Enochs – Bloomington, Ind.

Mary Klopfer – Fort Wayne, Ind.

Alex Mendez – Decatur, Ind.

Gregory Mendez – Fort Wayne, Ind.

John Mishler – Goshen, Ind.

Judd Nelson – Wayzata, Minn.

Curtis Delk Rose – Decatur, Ind.

Cary Shafer – Fort Wayne, Ind.

Craig Snyder – Plymouth, Minn.

Neil Wiffill – Somerset, England/Fort Wayne, Ind.

Charles Yost – Chicago, Ill.

“This addition to our School of Creative Arts is truly something special,” USF President Sister M. Elise Kriss said. “We hope the community will join us on September 10 to see these great sculptures and all of the wonderful art on display in our galleries.”

“Observations: Contemporary Landscapes by Thomas Hilty and Tamara Monk” and “Artist Spotlight Gallery: Ethan Ross – Hybrid Landscapes” will be on exhibit in the Weatherhead and Goldfish galleries of the Mimi and Ian Rolland Art and Visual Communication Center through October 9.

The Presidential Gala reception is free and open to the public.
