University of Saint Francis senior placekicker Ryan Nix has made the Fred Mitchell Award Preseason ‘Watch List’.
Nix (Valparaiso, IN / Valparaiso H.S.) is one of just two NAIA kickers to make the list.
The Fred Mitchell Award recognizes 27 place-kickers on its annual Watch List for their excellence on the football field during the 2015 season and for continued community service during their off-season.
The recipient of the Fred Mitchell Award will be announced in mid-December based on performance on the football field and in the community. Details are provided at www.fredmitchellaward.com.
The breakdown of the 27 place-kickers is as follows:
- Collegiate Division – 12 FCS, 9 Division II, 4 Division III, and 2 NAIA
- State – the place-kickers play at schools located in 19 different states
- Year – 1 Graduate School, 17 Seniors, 5 Juniors, and 4 Sophomores
