The Brightpoint Development Fund will present a free workshop on Basic Business Finances. The workshop will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Allen County Public Library (Downtown Branch), 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 from 6-8pm with networking to follow.

Existing business owners and individuals considering starting a new business are encouraged to attend. The workshop will cover essential accounting terms and concepts, how to read and understand financial statements, and key indicators to keep you focus on the success of your business.

Lana Dauterman, an accountant for McCoy Tax & Accounting in Columbia City, will facilitate this workshop. She holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Accounting and one in Social Work, and previously worked as an auditor for the State of Minnesota.
