TinCaps To Compete For Esurance Home Field Advantage Award

As the second half of the season gets underway, Minor League Baseball and Esurance today unveiled the first annual Esurance Home Field Advantage Award. One Minor League Baseball team in each of the 14 leagues will receive the award based on the highest percentage capacity of the ballpark during the 2016 season.

Fort Wayne TinCaps fans are encouraged to continue to support the TinCaps in this friendly competition by attending games in the home stretch of the regular season. The winning teams will be announced in September and honored at the 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings™ in National Harbor, Maryland, this December. A celebration for the hometown fans of each winning team will also take place at their respective ballparks at the start of the 2017 season.

“We often say how we have some of the best fans in all of Minor League Baseball, not just the Midwest League,” TinCaps Team President Mike Nutter said. “This is just another great way for our fans to show how much they support the TinCaps and how much pride they have in the city of Fort Wayne.”

The TinCaps’ promotional calendar is packed with fun-filled events to entertain every kind of fan. With 21 home games remaining, Parkview Field will host 13 more fireworks displays after games. Theme nights such as Indiana’s 200th birthday celebration, Pirates of Parrrkview Field, F-R-I-E-N-D-S Night and Country Night still litter the schedule over the final months.

Last month, Esurance and Minor League Baseball announced a strategic multi-year partnership making it the exclusive home and auto insurance partner of Minor League Baseball. To learn more about Esurance’s Call-Up Worthy campaign with Minor League Baseball, visit www.MiLB.com/CallUpWorthy.
