LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps fell to Bowling Green, 6-2, on Saturday night. The Hot Rods grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first, but Fort Wayne countered in the second on a two-run triple from Tyler Moore. Bowling Green, however, scored the final four runs to win the third game of the series.
3 MILLION FANS: With a sell-out crowd of 7,934 on hand Saturday, the TinCaps eclipsed 3,000,000 in all-time ballpark attendance since Parkview Field opened for the 2009 season.
PACKED PARKVIEW FIELD: Saturday’s ninth sell-out crowd of the season bumped Fort Wayne’s average attendance so far this year to 5,679 — the second-highest among the 60 Single-A clubs and larger than 28 of 30 Double-A franchises and 13 of 30 Triple-A organizations. Even with 2 rainouts, this is the highest-ever attendance for the TinCaps through 34 games.
