ABOUT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON: The TinCaps scored their first shutout victory of the season with a 1-0 win over the Peoria Chiefs. Carlos Belen drove in the game’s only run with a first-inning groundout. Jake Nix went the first four on the mound for Fort Wayne, followed by five innings from Enyel De Los Santos.

ROSTER MOVES: Today the Padres transferred left-handed reliever Taylor Cox to the Advanced-A Lake Elsinore Storm, while adding right-handed reliever Emmanuel Ramirez to Fort Wayne’s roster from Extended Spring Training. Cox was 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA across five appearances this season. He posted a 0.70 ERA for the TinCaps in the second half last season. For more on Ramirez, see Page 8. Additionally,shortstop Ruddy Giron has been activated from the Disabled List. Giron last played on Tuesday, April 19. He was out as a precautionary measure with groin tightness. In turn, infielder Daniel Bravo has been sent back to Extended Spring Training.

CHANCE TO SWEEP: With a win tonight, the TinCaps will have their first sweep of a three- or four-game series in 2016.
