Ivy Tech Community College Northeast is now accepting applications for the fall 2016/spring 2017 cohort for its Associate Accelerated Program, or ASAP.
Students who enroll in ASAP are able to complete their associate degree, typically a two-year degree, in just one year, after which point their degree will be transferable to a four-year institution. They can also enter the workforce upon graduation.
The program is a cohort-based program, which means students stay with the same group of peers throughout the program. This provides many benefits, including peer-to-peer mentorship and smaller class sizes. Because students sign a contract to hours to the weekend, and parents or guardians agree to provide rent-free housing to help negate the need for a full-time job, ASAP students can direct their primary focus to their schoolwork.
ASAP students can choose among three degree programs: Business Administration, Liberal Arts, and Healthcare Specialist. Students should be referred or nominated by their high school guidance counselor, and nomination forms can be found at IvyTech.edu/asap.
