The University of Saint Francis is featuring the work of artist and educator Karen Bondarchuk January 16-February 21 in the John P. Weatherhead Gallery at the Mimi and Ian Rolland Visual Art and Communication Center on the USF campus, just off Leesburg Road.

Karen Bondarchuk’s work—ranging from sculpture and drawing to video and book making—employs a broad range of materials and processes that centers on the image of the crow and raven. Her work examines the complex relationship between humans and corvids and has been exhibited widely in the United States, as well as in Canada, England, Italy and India. Bondarchuk has been the recipient of several fellowships and her work is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Canada as well as several other public and private collections.

In addition to this exhibit, Bondarchuk will speak as part of the School of Creative Arts Closer Look lecture series on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the USF North Campus auditorium, 2702 Spring Street.

The University of Saint Francis is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2015. Founded in 1890 as a comprehensive university in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, USF offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs through the School of Health Sciences, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership and School of Creative Arts.
