USF Announces Tenure, Promotions; Honors Faculty at Dinner

The University of Saint Francis recognized faculty achievements at its annual Faculty Scholarship Banquet on Tuesday, August 18. Instructors who won university awards, completed advanced degrees or earned tenure, promotions and sabbaticals were honored.

The 2014-2015 Leepoxy Award for Teaching Excellence was awarded to Matthew White of the School of Creative Arts. Katie Wiedman of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences was awarded the 2014-2015 Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award.

Faculty earning promotions in 2014-2015 include:

· Dr. Wendy Clark, Associate Professor, School of Health Sciences

· Mark Fransen, Assistant Professor, School of Health Sciences

· Dr. Dawn LaBarbera, Professor, School of Health Sciences

· Dr. Amy Obringer, Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences

· Dr. Kimberly Penland, Associate Professor, School of Health Sciences

· Jennifer Richard, Assistant Professor, School of Health Sciences

· Dr. Lance Richey, Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences

· Jeffrey Rodgers, Associate Professor, School of Creative Arts

· Dr. Thomas Schneider, Associate Professor, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Four faculty members earned tenure: Dr. Dawn LaBarbera, School of Health Sciences; Robert Lee, dean of the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership; Jeffrey Rodgers, School of Creative Arts; and Carolyn Yoder, School of Health Sciences.

Faculty members honored for completing advanced degrees were: Mark Fransen, School of Health Sciences; Dr. Lonnie Leeper, Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership; and Theresa Sorgen-Burleson, School of Health Sciences.

Honored with 2015-2016 sabbaticals were Dr. Esperanca Camara, School of Creative Arts, and Dr. David Mullins, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
