Elvis Is On The Roof (And Getting Married!) Aug. 14

Elvis will be back in town on Friday, Aug. 14. And this year, he is getting married to the love of his life, Priscilla!

It’s not the real Elvis, but one of the best Elvis impersonators in Fort Wayne. He will perform on the roof of Heritage Park, 2001 Hobson Road at 1:00 p.m. Aug. 14 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association. He has to raise $1,000 by 2 p.m., at which time he will come down from the roof to marry Priscilla. Heritage Park will host a “real” wedding, complete with “vows” and a reception immediately following.

Why an Elvis event? Thousands of Fort Wayne area residents loved the music icon since the beginning of his career in the 1950s, when he first visited Fort Wayne. Many of his fans may now be coping with Alzheimer’s disease. All proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Come and join the fun.

Heritage Park is one of 10 Fort Wayne-area facilities operated by American Senior Communities, which provides care for people with Alzheimer’s disease through Auguste’s Cottages.
