ABOUT LAST GAME: The TinCaps lost at Bowling Green, 3-2, on Sunday afternoon in walk-off fashion. Hot Rods first baseman Alec Sole hit a walk-off homer to start the 9th.

BACK HOME: The TinCaps are back at Parkview Field after a nine-game road trip to Dayton, Lake County, and Bowling Green that saw them travel more than 1,174 miles. Fort Wayne’s last game at home game was Friday, July 17, an 8-3 win over Lake County. The TinCaps are 28-22 at home this season, while Dayton is 21-28 on the road.

CAN’T BLAME THE PITCHING: Fort Wayne went 2-7 on the road trip, losing five games by a single run. Over the nine-game stretch, TinCaps pitchers posted a 2.34 ERA (19 ER in 73 IP). However, Fort Wayne committed 9 errors and allowed 8 unearned runs. Offensively, the TinCaps averaged 2.3 runs per game.
