The Autism Society of Indiana (ASI) will be hosting an Autism Acceptance one-mile walk fundraiser on Sunday, September 13, at the Allen County Fairgrounds. One goal of this event, which runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., is to bring local families together for fun, family-friendly activities to raise awareness about autism. Families and walk participants will have an opportunity to participate in games, entertainment and refreshments, and to attend a resource fair of thirty plus local providers serving the Autism community.
“We want to show our support for the families in Northeast Indiana that are living with autism every day by giving them a day of fun, and an opportunity to come together,” said ASI District 3 Ally Chair Kelly Pence. Another goal of this event is to raise money to support the ASI’s local Ally program that benefits those affected by autism (see below). Walk T-shirts will be available for a $15 donation.
Area walkers and families are invited to come join the ASI for this annual event to raise acceptance and funds for families living with autism in Indiana.
