Last Chance To Register For GSK Science In The Summer

Registration for the GSK Science in the Summer™ program is still open at Fremont Public Library. Parents and guardians can sign-up their elementary-aged children for this free, educational and exciting program, sponsored by GSK and administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in conjunction with select museums and science centers nationwide.

The program offers two, two hour-long summer science courses for students entering second through sixth grades. This year, students will be taught the basics of Chemistry through exciting, interactive experiments.

The class will be held at Fremont Library starting on July 23 and July 24 from 10 – 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required, contact the Fremont Public Library for information on how to register. They can be reached at (260) 495-7157.

Initially launched in Philadelphia, GSK Science in the Summer™ has been operating in a handful of East Coast cities for nearly 30 years, and has experienced such success that it has expanded nationally for 2015. Science Central was chosen as one of the science centers to help administer this successful program to northeast Indiana.

For the past two months, Science Central has been hosting GSK Science in the Summer™ workshops throughout northeast Indiana. This is the last workshop to be hosted this year.
