ABOUT LAST GAME: A night after shutting Dayton out on the road, 1-0, the TinCaps were held scoreless by the Dragons, 6-0, in Fort Wayne. The visitors ended a 17-inning scoreless drought with two runs in the top of the first and later added one in the third, another in the fifth, and two in the sixth.

HOT AT HOME: Despite Saturday’s loss, the TinCaps are still 15-6 at Parkview Field since May 26, having won six consecutive series here.
PITCHING WINS: The TinCaps lost Saturday, but nevertheless, the team is 10-4 over their last 14 games. In that time, they’ve allowed more than three runs in a game only twice. In 128 2/3 innings of work since June 18, Fort Wayne has yielded just 25 earned runs. That equates to a 1.75 ERA.
TIME FOR SOME RUNS: While Fort Wayne’s pitching has been on point of late, the team’s offense has left something to be desired. The TinCaps have averaged only 2.7 runs per game through the first 10 games of the second half. In the season’s first half, Fort Wayne averaged 4.3 runs per contest.
