Looking for a great way to spend some family time during the week? Join the staff from the Elkhart Public Library as they bring stories to life! Wellfield Botanic Gardens present Stories in the Garden every third Tuesday of the month from May to August at 6:00pm. Stories in the Garden will begin on May 19th and continue June 16th, July 21st, and August 18th. It’s a great way to relax after work or just a great way to end the day. Bring the family or come on your own to spend a lovely summer evening in the Gardens, enjoying story time and the beautiful surroundings. Gather in the English Cottage Garden (in case of rain meet in the tented area). Bring a cozy blanket to sit on. No registration necessary for this free program. Open to all ages.
Wellfield Botanic Gardens is located at 1011 North Main Street in Elkhart, Indiana. It is situated on 36 acres including 18 acres of water on a historical piece of property known as the North Main Street well field. Its purpose is to promote the inseparable relationship between water, plants and animals and be a source of inspiration, creativity and education in a setting dedicated to the celebration of nature.
